Street-1 Cafe

It was a pleasant Sunday and my friend’s last day in Islamabad, when our group decided to throw him a farewell party. We started our day by swimming in the chilly waters of Khanpur dam, then in the mid-day we left for Islamabad. Within an hour, we were there at our reserved place at Street-1 Café in Kohsar market F-6, Islamabad.

The location of the place itself is very attractive and posh and is neighbored by well-known food places like Tuscany Courtyard, Atrio Café and Grill as the whole Kohsar Market is targeting the foreigners residing in the nearby areas.

When we got there, we were warmly welcomed by the staff there and were escorted to our table, where we were presented with the menu.

I ordered Cajun Stuffed Chicken, while my friends ordered their respective dishes.

The order took 45 minutes which passed by pleasantly as we were presented with breadsticks, butter and bread rolls as a complement. By the time, we were done with our light appetizer, our food was there hot and fresh. The drinks were served separately and nicely.

Everything was going well until we were presented with a heavy bill of Rs. 15,687 for eight people.

In short, considering the place and its target audience, no doubt the price was high for us, the students, but the ambiance, food and service made it worth.
